My feelings are somewhat mixed on generative AI personalities and social media. The focus of social media apps has shifted over time from connecting us with people to connecting us with entertainment.

AI personalities in your messaging app like Snapchat, Messenger & WhatsApp now have extends this disconnection from being about connecting with people. We’re replacing real friends with synthetic ones.

I feel like we’ve lost something.

Never believe minimizers who lie and say there’s nothing more we can do to mitigate the spread of #COVID. This would be a huge game-changer!

Scientists are developing a breathalyzer that can detect coronavirus in just one or two breaths and provide results in less than 1 minute. The test could be more accurate than rapid home tests and faster than PCR tests.

There was a tradition among Hollywood film directors to use the pseudonym Alan Smithee on projects they worked on, but didn't want their name associated with.

I wonder if a similar pseudonym is in order for content generated by LLMs like Chat GPT.
