The Feast of St Nicholas & the Polar Bear had settled into his corner seat in the bar of Hegbom's hotel in Tromsø. He ordered a søttøl, a sweet beer which tasted of juniper & took out a little notebook, to cross off the presents he'd bought in the market that morning.

You're probably already aware that the Sun, moon, and other objects appear to rise and set in different places each day. Due to the axial tilt of the Earth and our orbit, the geometry of our planets surroundings in the solar system is always changing. With the changing of the seasons the sunset/sunrise and moonset/moonrise shift north or south. This image is a composite of two consecutive sunsets as a way to demonstrate the difference just a day makes.
