@NadiaBernaz Thank you. This doesn’t affect me personally. The #vacancy stipulates that applicants must already have the right to work there. This is a common requirement for the reasons that you’ve mentioned. I just simply don’t understand the added restriction on nationality. I am concerned about #diversity and non-EU applicants. It is a senior position in an #INGO office in an #EU country. The job isn’t in the public sector, nor in an EU agency, nor is it a government-sponsored #UN posting. 🤷🏻‍♀️

recruiter in an international #NGO cold-emailed me about a vacancy that I would be perfect for (they’re right). The #vacancy announcement had the usual #diversity #DEI label at the end. HOWEVER, in the listing, they wrote “Due to labour-law restrictions, we currently only accept nationals from EU countries.”

WHAT is this? 🤨🤔🧐

Unless they’re an #EU agency (they’re not), I'm unaware of any restrictions that prevent hiring someone who isn’t from our region.

If I’m wrong, please let me know. #HR
