The regime in Qatar and some PR companies that only care about 💰 are trying to spin a line that no one ever cared about human rights issues in host countries of major sporting events before Qatar 2022.
An obvious lie.
The truth, in @humanrightswatch Daily Brief:
A representative of Belgian railways called disabled activists that campaign for an accessible railway “militants” at a railway conference I’m attending. “Customers” is the right word.

Is Elon Musk’s #Twitter bad for #HumanRights? An interesting conversation by Human Rights Watch on Twitter Spaces, live right now. @humanrightswatch
recruiter in an international #NGO cold-emailed me about a vacancy that I would be perfect for (they’re right). The #vacancy announcement had the usual #diversity #DEI label at the end. HOWEVER, in the listing, they wrote “Due to labour-law restrictions, we currently only accept nationals from EU countries.”
WHAT is this? 🤨🤔🧐
Unless they’re an #EU agency (they’re not), I'm unaware of any restrictions that prevent hiring someone who isn’t from our region.
If I’m wrong, please let me know. #HR
