This is, of course, the language of decades past. Today's use of language by politicians is more extreme and blatant.

I can't help but to be impressed with the notes George Carlin must have taken in the lead-up to the writing of this monologue.

Good morning to all here on Mindly, and across the Fediverse!

Today as I think back over this year and even across decades past, I think about how our elected leaders use language.

The late, great, George Carlin said it best in his speech at the National Press Club on May 13th, 1999.

Today I got to give the new Tiffany album, "Shadows" a listen.

The 1980s pop music icon has grown into her own from the release of her first album over 3 decades ago.

This is the 2nd more modern release Tiffany has offered her long time fan base in which her work has truly shown real growth as an artist, and as a person.

Tiffany's hard rock style and sound display the person she has worked so hard over time to show the world.

We started making dinner early today so we could have it done on-time.

We're honestly tired of Turkey every year, so, we're making ham with greenbean casserole, stuffing, and cranberry sauce.

I'm sooooo hungry right now, but I'm waiting until this dinner is done!

After this dinner, I'll enjoy some of my favorite 1980s Thanksgiving TV programming.

Here is my FIRST yearly Thanksgiving thread on Mastodon!

I am thankful for so much this year!

I am thankful to live in a new apartment that is healthier and safer than anywhere else I've lived. We actually have heat and running water here! We can actually use our oven!

This year, we are thankful we live in a place that is free from insects, rats, mice, and the health issues all of this causes when the landlord refuses to act.

Thankful to be alive.

I'm thankful for all of you who follow me.
