Asking for a friend: Do you know any scientific evidence that #OpenSource and #OpenResearchSoftware lead to more software innovation and/or scientific evidence than #ClosedSource?
Common sense (transparency, reproducibility..) is clear. But there are certainly studies that have also dealt with this scientifically. Recommendations?
