@Christian_Freiherr_von_Wolff lots of guys with their friend who speaks trash Español and can’t really explain what happened, and forgets their name when the patient goes to CT scan, and is on their phone the whole visit, while the patient is staring at the floor. Never happens. Never.

Another thing Americans need to realize — in many places, the ambulance service is the fire department. The people on those ambulances are paid for by a mixture of tax dollars and billing for services. When Medicaid cuts happen, the billing part goes away. If the economy also shits the bed, the taxes also drop. No more ambulance.

Buncha dumb, white motherfuckers are about to learn about the thing where you work under the table on a farm, get horribly injured, and your boss sends a guy to the ER with you to be your “friend” while you both claim you were hurt while helping someone out, because that way it doesn’t become a work comp case. Unfortunately for you, you later discover that this means you are broke and have no benefits, and may be excluded from disability programs. Oh, and they cut Medicaid, so fuck you.

There's actually a difference between a recession and a depression, and you're probably right: it will probably start out as a recession. Hopefully that's as bad as it's gonna get.

When you hire an American at $20/hr to pick lettuce, that lettuce costs more. When that American goes to the store to buy lettuce, they pay more. Wages overall for most people don’t go up, but costs of food, construction, and services go up. If you pair immigration reform with improved social services and benefits, Americans do better. If you pair it with massive cuts to services, people starve and the country enters into recession.

We have chosen unwisely, as they say.
