My son has safely come home from Japan. He’s tired from his travels but happy to be with us again. He didn’t get quite as warm a welcome from the pug as he had hoped 😆. It’s good to have the whole family together again (for as long as it lasts).

Day 9: Twisty Revenge #Kdrama recommendation

I was tempted to post the fab The Glory or My Name but went with Marry My Husband (2024 - Prime, AppleTV, TVing) for its innovative revenge plot, great acting and tight editing.

A woman is murdered by her husband & his lover but wakes up reborn 10 years before her death.

Her elaborate plans & schemes to make sure her second life is different and the guilty punished make great watching.

Hoping it gets streamed more broadly.

My son wants to hike for a week in the Black Forest this summer. He researched (for about 2 mins) and came up with a route he wants to do. Looked good on the surface until I read that you need good athletic ability to climb 🤣🤣. So that one is definitely out for me. I just want to hike. It doesn’t have to be easy and straightforward but it should not involve actual climbing. So we’re back to the drawing board which likely means I have to find a route. Will see if I can find the time to research.
(I personally would prefer to do the Cumbria Way but according to my son, the Lake District is “boring” (despite never having been there.)

Day 7: what I'd recommend to someone looking for a great ensemble cast

#AKoreanOdyssey is so fun, with many animal deities as humans, FT Island's Lee Hong-Ki as a pig deity, Lee Seung-gi with iconic triangle bangs as a monkey deity, Lee Se-Young as the most adorable zombie you've ever seen, a murderous dog secretary, a gender fluid summer/winter god, an octopus prince, and a demon-repelling yellow polka dotted umbrella.

My husband and I cycled 33km in the New Forest today. We got really rained on, my husband’s rear tire got a puncture and we still managed to have a good time. On our way home now on the train.
