Yesterday I thought it was finally time to get something to store my brushes so I got this Chilean Myrtle leaf brush case. It's handmade by my friends who have a craft and clothing store.

Progress. I took these pictures very late last night so I forgot to take some extra angles. I really like how it's starting to look. Of course if you start zooming in you can tell the blending is not perfect and you can see it could do with a few more transition layers but that's something that'll apply for future projects. Im just happy it's turning out fairly close to what I had imagined.

Took some advice about darkening the shadows and it seems to have worked. Blends could be smoother but I define my current level as "low-res blender". Maybe with an airbrush I could do it amoother? Anyway, I don't think that's gonna happen any time soon.

I think this side is as good as it gets for now. Time to start working on the dark side!  🌑🖌️

I've made some progress with this model. I'm slowly getting closer to getting the armour how i want it to be. You'd think deciding to specialize in #NMM would mean I know a thing or two about how light and shadows work, right?

Currently looking for a basic arts theory tutorial/course on lights, shadows and volumes :)
