I was caught me off guard in a conversation thats bugged me since. I’m annoyed at myself for being caught off guard and not telling said person to not be a patronising dick.
If my daughters say they’re bi, they’re bi. They’re not “too young to know what they are” they are teenagers. They’ve be brought up to be allies, to know we can be attracted to whoever, it’s been normalised, it’s something I’ve always had a firm view on.

I’ve been encouraged by members of SLT to apply for a managers position in a different department. I was tempted for weeks but it would mean moving away from Environmental Services. I only play a small role in protecting the local environment, but when everything goes to shit I want my daughters to know I tried to make a difference. That’s worth more than a pay rise and a title. #environment #climatechange

These numpties will feature a lot. My cat, Larry, was found on a building site as a kitten; he was feral but now he’s the prince of our family, adored by all. Henry, preloved, old, hates other dogs, is obsessed with my middle daughter, just wants to lay in bed and bed hugged. I’m loving it over here. I knew #Twitter was toxic but this is just a breath of fresh air…
