@pixelone @broximar sorry for the randomly late reply lol. I was scrolling through my replies trying to find something else and saw this, yay #adhd

Anyway, those are indeed fair criticisms. To counterpoint, I really, really enjoyed how far they went with the story. It’s such a major focus that it’s a refreshing for a lord nerd like me.

Couple that with the amazing community that qas, at least at the time, lacking much of the hostility found in WoW and it made for good times.

@moof there are a lot of these on YouTube. I was listening to a 4 hour one yesterday while getting some coding done.

Also, can you disable voice commands on Alexa?

@st0neybrat I understand the struggle, it’s so hard sometimes.

I mostly keep music running all day, I love looking at my Spotify stats lol.
Sometimes though, I’ll get to a point where it’s too distracting. When that happens, I’ll often switch to multi hour mixes on YouTube that, while of varying styles, are all devoid of vocals.

@BooleanBear coming off of weeks of 3-4 hours of sleep daily caused largely by my inability to manage time… jeez does this hit home 😆😆😆

@gicrisf thanks to my insomnia caused by the never ending vortex of semi-organized chaos that make up my inner thoughts I was able to stop and read your writing.

First, I must say, you have quite a way with the written word, so bravo!

Second, while reading through, as an a observer who understands the struggle, it so was interesting to see so many classic traits that make up this crippling illness that permeates society manifest in your internal struggle.

Thanks for sharing.

@gicrisf that’s really interesting. I don’t have time to read it atm, but am curious what your method was. Also, welcome to the #nerodivergent club. We’re all here to help.

I’m a fellow adult ADHD diagnosee, so I know it’s quite a journey!

@cendawanita thank you, yes we can!
@cendawanita oh, believe me, I know. I kept it up for a wonderful 4 months. Then work became all consuming and detailed me. Haven’t been able to consistently get back to it.

@cendawanita oof, it certainly is a struggle sometimes man.

I didn’t get diagnosed until my 40s, but had been doing intense workouts for years and had never seen any improvement in my inability to focus.

What I found made the best difference in my mental state, and I mean by a long shot, was the triple threat:
-Exercise
-Medication
-Meditation

Once I had all 3 of those going regularly, I was in the best state of mind I had ever been in.

@Lilysea yes, these types of things make it so hard for my ADHD brain to focus on the text.

I’m going to start putting this into practice, thanks!
