Hi #nerodivergent pals, I’d be interested to hear your takes on this.
I’ve thought often about the line between masking & manners (ie consideration for other people); Jack Ori talks here about the utility of acting outside our comfort zone when it enables something we want to do.
How do you make sense of these kinds of choices?

I am so tired of people in my life assuming that when I forget stuff, I'm doing it on purpose.
I am not lazy, the thing literally does not exist in my brain if I can't see it!!! I will do whatever it is when I see it again!
@gicrisf that’s really interesting. I don’t have time to read it atm, but am curious what your method was. Also, welcome to the #nerodivergent club. We’re all here to help.
I’m a fellow adult ADHD diagnosee, so I know it’s quite a journey!
Another fun #nerodivergent admission: I often read a few lines of text in a toot before I realize it is written in a language I don't understand.
I don't have the skills and resources to make this, so take this idea (and please don't paywall it)
A search engine, or wiki with search engine, to find info about mental health and neurodivergence, but it has an option for whether you want info for your child, or info for adults!
