@stephenrobles Hey Stephen! Was looking through your homekit videos for a homekit / wifi water shut off valve. Have you seen any on the market? Looking to automate “if water detected, then shut off water valve". And what I've found on amazon look to be under powered motors with an arm that pushes the shut off valve close and not homekit. Any suggestions or links to a video are appreciated and thanks for all the great videos!

I set up Shortcuts automations to deal with political SMS spam. Anything with “Stop2End” or similar gets an automated “STOP” reply.

Definite sanity saver.

@stroughtonsmith Good news on the Caps Lock Icon issue has a fix. Found this on the MacRumors Forum : sudo /usr/libexec/PlistBuddy -c "Add 'redesigned_text_cursor:Enabled' bool false" /Library/Preferences/FeatureFlags/Domain/UIKit.plist

Today was ... interesting. If you followed me for the past months over on the shitbird site, you might have seen a bunch of angry German words, lots of graphs, and the occassional news paper, radio, or TV snippet with yours truely. Let me explain. In Austria, inflation is way above the EU average. There's no end in sight. This is especially true for basic needs like energy and food. Our government stated in May that they'd build a food price database together with the big grocery chains. But..

I’ve never had a big update ready to go on Day 1, but I will this year!

This summer has had its ups and downs, but I’m really happy with all the new widget goodies in @timery. I think interactive widgets are such a useful addition to the app and make time tracking even easier. I hope they’ll be useful for you too.

Coming to an App Store near you on Monday!

iOS 17 beta 2 enabled another fun thing for interactive widgets: starting Live Activities! So starting a time entry from a @timery widget will also start a Live Activity!

And speaking of Live Activities, since they’re part of WidgetKit, they gain interactivity too. So the stop button can stop the time entry without having to open the app!

We have exciting news to share! 🚀

Mammoth’s App Store launch is just around the corner and we’ve created a brilliant new build for you that includes a whole new look (with app icon and alt icons), a new onboarding experience (that makes getting onto Mastodon a breeze), and a whole bunch of improvements (that make the app even better).

There’s now a new TestFlight link (the old one will stop updating, sorry!):

Using TestFlight is a great way to help developers test beta versions of their apps.
