I set up Shortcuts automations to deal with political SMS spam. Anything with “Stop2End” or similar gets an automated “STOP” reply.

Definite sanity saver.

@agiletortoise OMG please share the shortcut
@greg @chadbailey59 The whole set up is in the screen shots. It’s just a two step shortcut.
@agiletortoise @greg @chadbailey59 Also, can’t share those automations. But yeah, genius move!
@agiletortoise wow, thank you so very much for this. Never occurred to me. I *think* CVS has stop2end so I’m thinking adding a filter or other keywords like “vote” or “$5” 😅
@agiletortoise idk might just turn this on for ALL messages. (Jk this is great will totally copy.)
@agiletortoise this is incredible. I had no idea that you could do this. Thank you for sharing.
@agiletortoise Now we need a Delete and Report as Junk action for all those “Who are you?” messages
@agiletortoise How do you handle any instances where you do, in fact, want the text messages?
@niclake I mean, I guess I don’t? But you have control with the automation trigger you setup if you need the “contains” to be more specific.
