A couple more animations that were originally recorded as GIFs, so not posted. Movement, lighting, parallax.
What do you think of this palette? Do you think it's worth trying to make a game in this style from a commercial POV?

For now the game available only on #android, because we initially started development with an eye on smartphones, with which most often there are porting problems. But in about a month we'll try to release the desktop version on Win and Linux, but we need some time to optimize them. Especially, because of the engine's unclear behavior with gamepads, we plan to let the user customize keys as desired. So follow game on Itch to stay tuned!
Friends, the game has been released, or more exactly, its 1st episode. You can download it from Google Play. Good pixelart graphics and music in the style of 16bit Amiga π€ Not hardcore, but not casual either: a little bit of shooting π« and a little bit of thinking π§ - a pleasant chill evening will be provided for you.

So it is time for another update to the Battle Kit I. This time I am adding a couple of animations to each character in order to fit a few requests and make them more RPGMaker compliant. As such the heroes now have a walking, a dodging and a blocking animation.

Okay, okay, hear me out. Wanna know a big red flag if a game art/game dev is gonna fail? If they have a discord server. I know it is anecdotal experience, but in all my career, 100% of all the gigs I got that had their organization happening through discord, all of them failed, most of the time the lead just disappeared in thin air or their had this very stupid argument for very stupid reasons.
Got a gig and they gather on discord? Get out.
Redrawing of #kirby with light shading from a pure classic intro in the very first NES game (you can check the proportions 1:1).
Saw a bunch of insta recommendations with Kirby's character (don't know why he's showing up for me), but remembered I forgot to post my Kirby.
Drawn specially for tut on customizing oil brushes in Krita like in commercial soft. If you don't have a good idea of how the Smudge engine works in the app, you can watch my tutorial here (ENG SUBS):
