Does anyone here know how the process works in #france to get assessed/diagnosed for neurodivergence (ADHD, autism, etc.) as an adult? Public system vs private? Waiting times? Costs?

Any experiences or advice would be highly appreciated.

@acallegaro i found a neuropsychologyst who diagnosed my adhd, with a 6 month delay (non covered, approx 500e with 1/3 refounded by my insurance), and then adressed me to a psychiatrist (covered, hard to find one), for medication.
Appointments in chu for adhd are nearly impossible to find (years long waiting list). For autism you can either find a neuropsychologist, or a psychiatrist willing to fill a file for the CRA (not the detention center!).
There might be other ways i don't know about.

@acallegaro Selon la région de France dans lequel tu vis c’est possible, mais pas facile, il y a plusieurs personnes qui ont été diagnostiquées récemment autistes et/ou TDAH.

Regarde/Abonne-toi peut-être aux #ActuallyAutisticFr (nous sommes pas tous.tes en France, en commençant par moi), pareil pour #AuDHDFr , il y aussi #TDAH.

Il y a aussi souvent des demandes de références pour des spécialistes fiables dans ces domaines.
