@dr_a "There's something wrong with my eyes. I just can't see coming in today."
@dr_a this brings up the point of why bosses and Republicans think that forcing someone who is inevitably going to be bad at work, to work. I suppose they can't get over the idea that they ought to be able to get at least as much labor out of any given human being that they'd expect to be able to whip out of a horse or a dog.
@dr_a Yes, but you need to call it by its medical term: “A Fuck Deficiency.”
@dr_a It's called a mental health day!
@dr_a 'I am about to run out of fucks' is an even better reason (i.e. the day before you REALLY need it
@Lizly Is running out of fucks the sort of same thing as running out of spoons? because I'm good with both.
@mcourcel @Lizly perhaps, with a bit of sporkness

@dr_a health is a protected category (in general, depending on jurisdiction)

mental health is health

@dr_a I don't have enough sick days for that
@dr_a @lisamelton
i’d select “fuck yeah” but you’re out of fucks, so “yes”?
@dr_a absolutely. but don't tell work that.
@dr_a I've heard it called a "I'm sick of working here" day
@dr_a Always has been.

@dr_a

Absolutely.

Can't expect anyone to be productive at work with entirely inadequate resources!

@dr_a

'THAT WAS EASY' as they say
