Not particularly nice, working hard to be kind.

Stickers also seem appropriate.
I feel the need to make some of these signs. I have some colleagues who try to excuse their shitty positions by claiming they're just playing devil's advocate.
It's been interesting listening to my mom complain about how my teen nephew answers the question he was asked, and not the question she wants answered. You'd think after raising two children who answer what is directly asked, she'd have learned to ask questions in a more effective manner.
As part of ${DAYJOB} i help review terms of service for the tools we use. Lately itโ€™s been a nightmare with vendors unilaterally changing their terms so that: 1. notice of TOS changes is they change them on their website 2. the terms grant them perpetual license to use the data their customer uploads, and 3. they try to shift liability to the customer for using the product for its stated purpose when the vendor chooses to violate privacy laws.
Data structures and appropriate algorithms are so satisfying. Still playing with quadtrees, and it's satisfying how much more efficient they are when compared to brute-force collision detection.
It feels a bit early for the cherry tree, but here we are.

"You can't have gay Klingons!", shout the dumberatti from the sidelines, having never realised that Star Trek was always a show about wokeness.

Huh? Huh? You want to say that a warrior culture would repress homosexuality when our own history shows us that warrior cultures in our past embraced it?

How about this take on one of our favourite fictional races: maybe to a Klingon, it would be an act entirely without honour to deny someone the right to become a fully fledged member of their society, just based on who and how they loved.

Maybe in Klingon society anyone who discriminates against someone just because they're gay is likely to get ostracised or challenged to a duel to the death.

Maybe Klingons believe that who you love doesn't change whether you can fight or not, and they'd look at human history of discrimination against LGBTI folk as one of the worst forms of dishonour imaginable.
