this is definitely the right place for informing Europeans in a digitally sovereign way. All the other options worth even considering have strong ties to USA etc. to begin with and don't let you run your own independent infra easily or at all...

Be honest, you're here to do posts about the silly approvals of EU laws.

90% of the time here get a real negative answer or review. Chat Control, AI Law, support of genocidal wars in Gaza, Libano, Iran, support os the meddling by USA and Israel in EU policies. Coercion of Google, Microsoft, OpenAI of euro parliament members. The list is HUGE.

So your post is quite cynical and hypocrite. 😏

Thanks for being here.

Being in the Fediverse is a courageous and healthy decision because:

1. the Fediverse is open to real criticism, with no algorithms to dampen it
2. you can't buy followers, ads or amplification

That's a step in the right direction.

Next you may:
* Put the Mastodon icon on commission.europa.eu (ideally in first position before X and FB)
* Encourage/mandate Fediverse presence across all PAs

Any of these would be a real anniversary gift to the Fediverse.
