Political scientist working on rural China & BRI. Missing 干拌面, learning Emacs, enjoying kayaking and running.

Four years with you in the fediverse today, what a journey!

THANK YOU to the OGs who’ve been with us since day one, and to all who’ve joined along the way. Your engagement keeps the conversation going.

We’ll continue sharing news and updates from the Commission, stay tuned for more.

Big love to our community 💙

See you around,

In the past few weeks I built orgrr ("org-roam-ripgrep"), an almost feature-complete replica of the core functionality of #orgroam v1 using ripgrep (rg). If you miss the first version of orgroam, then this might be something for you.

I've been using this to take notes during my current field research - but I am not a professional programmer, so use orgrr at your own discretion. #emacs

Happy to get your feedback (toot me or use #orgrr).

Short #introduction: Trained in #polsci and Chinese studies, most of my professional life has been devoted to analyzing state-society relations in #RuralChina (currently @ #UniFr). This is not the time to enter my field. I also have a knack for computers and the outdoors. Learning #Emacs was my covid-19 project and my only regret is that I did not do this earlier (the ultimate #zettelkasten!). I recharge by #kayaking, #running and #cycling. Toots could be in English, German or Chinese. #neuhier
