SvenI don't run a ad blocker, & I often get accused of running such a thing. I do run some DuckDuckGo security thingy.
@doctorwhom I run μBLock Origin AND Privacy Badger from the EFF ... I don't put up with the Web's bullshit.
I've got Privacy Badger going too. It blocked 4 sites from:

Scott Carlson@elfin @Monsieur_Lepetit reader view works, or on Firefox I use an extension that disabled JavaScript on a site. And it remembers by site, so I usually only have to turn it off once. Doesn't always work, but works enough of the time to be worth it for me at least.
