Software is where the magic happens. Enigmatic tooting almost certainly does not refer to anybody who you might know.

Listen to the old dog for they have drunk deeply from the toilet bowl of wisdom.
If your app or toolkit does screen reader detection only at startup and changes the interface for screen reader users, well, that sucks. DON'T DO THAT. #badA11y
After reading this Lettermatic blog post, https://lettermatic.com/custom/monaspace-case-study, on #Monaspace I now want to be able to use different fonts for code elements in #IntelliJ. I use Argon as my code font but would love if comments were in Radon and I might even go wild and use Krypton for keywords.

I can't imagine organizing my life around watching TV programs.

I am not saying that I don't enjoy a good video but it isn't something I would want to schedule. I trust that the videos will still be there to watch when I am sufficiently bored.

An older friend and former business adviser is having a really tough time and struggling both mentally and emotionally with his life changes. I am in no position to help much, we live thousands of kilometres apart, but I can always be available to listen. The conversations have been difficult, exhausting and preoccupied me a lot. I can't not be there for him; he is where I am headed. I like to think I will be able to accept my reality better when faced with changes, but of course none us of can.
In case you haven't noticed, calendar appointment interoperability doesn't work very well outside of the origin ecosystem in 2026. Interoperability was much better back in 2009. This sucks, but more importantly the use of "suck" as ecosystem friction is a despicable choice. #NoIWontUseYourCalendarApp

If you feel social pressure to be more "hardcore" about your software development tools then you are in bad company. There is nothing "elite" about anybody's tooling; only their results. Resist becoming a "mall ninja" developer.

Too many of these stories come off like influencer videos where they ask a humble practitioner about their gear and the answer is inevitably something like "This one, because it is what I have." and you realize the craft is about those who practice it not equipment.

The single biggest source of software performance issues is ignorance. No other cause even comes close.
What ICE is doing in US airports today, it will be doing at US polling places in November. These photos arenโ€™t funny or incongruous; they should be giving us nightmares. This has to end now.
