@cmsdengl @kristian Ads are a privacy/security nightmare. I will pay for journalism, I will subscribe (with caveats), but there will be no ads.

Totally agree! I work in advertising myself, but still, ads should be optional with a subscription model, and all tracking needs to go. Advertising shouldn’t be built on people’s personal data. Sure, targeting gets harder without it, but that would force our industry to actually be creative again instead of relying on the AI-generated crap flooding every feed.

If it’s AI generated article, I totally agree with you! It’s also a shame if they don’t have an opportunity to pay for the article to avoid ads and privacy.
