“The data confirms what the American people have overwhelmingly known, which is that Operation Metro Surge in #Minneapolis was a complete failure,” said Elora #Mukherjee, director of the Immigrants’ Rights Clinic at Columbia Law School and a faculty fellow at the Deportation Data Project. “Instead of targeting the ‘worst of the worst,’ it was ordinary law-abiding people who were caught up in the #immigration dragnet, resulting in the needless and cruel separation of families and inflicting untold suffering on American children.”

The bigger point is that 100% of Ice Agents in Minnesota were commiting criminal acts, violating the constitution, racketeering in a criminal organization, and many of them engaged in murder, felony murder, and conspiracy to commit murder. They must be held accountable.

@HakeemG - In my opinion, a key principle of democracy is equality before the law. So if ICE can break the law with impunity, then it is no longer a democracy. According to the preamble to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, people have the right to rise up against tyranny. Consequently, the people of Minnesota are, in principle, exempt from punishment, and ICE is guilty of human rights violations. Unfortunately, the U.S., with its miserable democracy, has never recognized human rights. Europe is more consistent in its acceptance of human rights.

Absolutely. Any American doing anything to these ICE thugs is 100% acting in self defense against a terrorist criminal organization at this point.
