It’s the yo-yo weather of spring, which is to say, we plunge into winter, and then soar towards summer.

It’s time to soar again for Easter, which, these days, mostly translates to chocolate.

The final chocolate holiday until Halloween. That’s an odd link.

@CA_Hawthorne "Chocolate Holiday". Now I'm extrapolating from fireworks sales restrictions to only around the Fourth – because we're all too irresponsible to have access to them year-round – to imagining chocolate sales restrictions to only around certain holidays – for the same damned reason.

@ericphelps From what I hear and see around here on the 4th, most don’t know how to be responsible for one day.

At some point, people need to learn to take responsibility and cease being toddlers. It shouldn’t be up to officials, police, teachers, and others to impose common sense and respect for others and the environment.

“If I can get away with it I’m going to do it” is societal rot, our leaders emblematic of that attitude.
