A 28-day-old infant was seriously injured after being attacked by a rat in his family's displacement tent in the Al-Maqousi area, west of Gaza City.
Local sources reported that the animal bit the baby's face, leaving deep wounds. The child was rushed to Al-Rantisi Children's Hospital, where he remains in critical condition under medical observation.

What did this child do to deserve such fear?

Why did you leave us alone when everything is gone? The war has stopped, but there is no safety. Our home has been destroyed, and our land in Rafah has been taken. The blockade is still in place, and we are living in a tent that is flooded by wind and rain. Our clothes and blankets are soaked with water, and food is very expensive. My daughter Sama is suffering from a growth hormone deficiency due to malnutrition.
