AGI - L'Iran ha notevolmente irrigidito la sua posizione negoziale da quando è iniziata la guerra e se tornasse a sedere al tavolo con gli Stati Uniti pretenderebbe tra l'altro il controllo formale dello stretto di Hormuz. Lo riferisce la Reuters citando tre fonti iraniane.
Dall'attacco di Stati Uniti e Israele, il 28 febbraio, i Guardiani della Rivoluzione hanno sempre più peso nelle decisioni e dunque se davvero vi fossero di nuovo negoziati seri, presenterebbero agli Usa una lista di richieste di peso. Non solo Teheran chiederebbe la fine delle ostilità, ma anche garanzie contro future azioni militari, compensazioni per le perdite subite e il controllo appunto di Hormuz. L'Iran rifiuterebbe poi di trattare su qualsiasi limitazione al proprio programma missilistico balistico, un tema che fin qui Washington ha sempre considerato una linea rossa.
Colloqui preliminari e possibili incontri
Per il momento però non vi sono stati colloqui diretti, hanno assicurato le fonti. L'Iran ha avuto solo discussioni preliminari con Pakistan, Turchia ed Egitto per verificare se esista una base minima per trattare con gli Stati Uniti sulla fine della guerra. Fonti pakistane hanno fatto trapelare che questa settimana potrebbero tenersi a Islamabad incontri bilaterali sulla fine della guerra. Nel caso, l'Iran invierebbe il presidente del Parlamento Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf e il ministro degli Esteri Abbas Araqchi. Ma qualsiasi decisione spetterebbe in ultima istanza ai Pasdaran.

The Iranian government has significantly hardened its negotiating stance since the start of the war, and if it were to return to the table with the United States, it would also demand formal control of the Strait of Hormuz. This is reported by Reuters, citing three Iranian sources.

Since the attack by the United States and Israel on February 28th, the Revolutionary Guard has gained more weight in decision-making, and if serious negotiations were to take place, they would present the Americans with a list of substantial demands. Not only would Tehran demand an end to hostilities, but also guarantees against future military actions, compensation for losses, and control of Hormuz. Iran would then refuse to negotiate any limitations on its ballistic missile program, a topic that Washington has previously considered a red line.

Preliminary Talks and Possible Meetings

For the moment, there have been no direct talks, sources assured. Iran has only had preliminary discussions with Pakistan, Turkey, and Egypt to determine if there is a minimum basis for negotiating with the United States to end the war. Pakistani sources revealed that bilateral meetings on the end of the war could be held this week in Islamabad. If this occurs, Iran would send Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Arachi. But any decision would ultimately rest with the Pasdaran.
