What the TSA did was useless posturing. Security experts call that "security theater" because it doesn't actually do anything to make your safer, it just makes you FEEL safer.
And we all know why ICE is moving in there. The USA is a fascist shithole.
The idea that anyone involved in this evil game show knows what they are doing, is pretty goofy.
ICE is prefunded for several years with our healthcare dollars because of the Big Ugly Bill. But I wouldn't be surprised if some Nazi billionaires would be willing to chip in. Their problem certainly isn't money; it's that not enough people are so stupid as to think neck gaiters protect them from data breaches.
@chris @Strandjunker ICE was specifically allocated a ginormous sum through 2029 (!) in the big ugly bill that passed earlier. The other parts of DHS were not, including FEMA, Coast Guard, and TSA.

You noticed that too, eh? I suspect the reason he's using ICE instead of moving ICE money to pay TSA is twofold:
1) He wants his ICE goons to know they are the ones who get paid when other people don't.
2) He thinks ICE agents harassing people at airports will put pressure on the Democrats.
What he may not have thought about is how ICE agents will feel being asked to go from playing gestapo to playing door guards.
@Strandjunker the Big Bullshit Bill put money immediately/non-revocably into ICE. So, when DHS funding was blocked until they agreed to dramatic systemic changes to ICE, lots of DHS (including TSA) ran out of money or was shut down *BUT NOT ICE*.
I really wouldn’t say TSA is knows what they’re doing, tho. So much of airport security is ‘Security Theater’.
