So let me get this straight: We can’t find the budget to pay our actual TSA agents, but we’ve got plenty of cash to bus in ICE agents with zero experience to do their jobs?

Efficiency at its finest. What a slap in the face to the people who actually know what they’re doing.

@Strandjunker Yeah this is confusing to me too: TSA isn't getting paid because DHS isn't funded, but ICE is also part of DHS, but we have money to give them to do this?

@chris @Strandjunker ICE was specifically allocated a ginormous sum through 2029 (!) in the big ugly bill that passed earlier. The other parts of DHS were not, including FEMA, Coast Guard, and TSA.

It’s easy to see where GOP priorities lie, as they’re all in on racism and xenophobia.

Your safety? help in an emergency? —-nope, not much interest in that stuff.
