@ascentale @bikenite this is a pile of burning grapevines, I saw today on a trip to Burgenland (wine region at the Austrian-Hungarian border). So this is what happens to them when they are old. I felt kind of sad, I love them and their irregular shapes.

@gudroot @ascentale @bikenite that's like a controlled burn thing? I don't know that I've seen that in wine country around here but I am not up there that often

@genex @ascentale @bikenite yes, controlled, there is nothing else around that could potentially catch flames. so, totally safe, but sad (have i said already that i love old grapevines?)
