If you're wondering why San Francisco doesn't already have public power: we actually do! SFPUC provides power to the airport, MUNI, and numerous other public services and buildings in the city. SFPUC also runs Green Power SF, which individuals can opt into in order to get renewable-powered energy delivered to their home instead of getting energy from PG&E.

Unfortunately, PG&E owns the majority of San Francisco's power grid, and has blocked and slowed efforts for the City to buy PG&E out. But the louder San Franciscans are about getting PG&E OUT of San Francisco and getting public power instead, the more likely it is that it will actually happen.

Other cities in California have already done it, including larger cities like Sacramento. (SMUD is pretty great and has quite low rates!) There's no reason that San Francisco can't, too!

So this power outage is creating a #Waymogeddon according to my friends who came to Bernal from the west side. They’re clueless when there’s no traffic signals or lights working.
and the smoking lounges are back at LAS airport too - and the payouts are higher on the poker machines like they used to be when the smoking lounges were around before they went away. Guess the decline in tourism to Las Vegas is bringing these back. So pro tip - gamble in these for higher payouts!
guess tourism is down in Las Vegas, my room was $3.33/night! Though the resort fees were a total of $113

I do love the sound of the fog horns but not so early in the morning 😴
Wow the four ppl closest to me on the BART are reading printed books and/or writing in a paper journal. No phones except me typing this 😂
saw that Waymos were allowed on the freeways and saw this one today!
was cool to see the Jean-Luc Godard character playing #pinball in Linklater's Nouvelle Vague. It was a Swing Along which came out in 1963 while Breathless came out in 1960 but if you watch the film the 'continuity' would be something Godard wouldn't GAF about 😂
Happy Tap-to-Pay day for Bay Area public transit. Now go ride a bus or train to a local business and earn some miles!
