I was showing signs at the weekend of chronic dehydration, so I'm trying to do better with my water intake. So, the first thing I do in the morning is drink 250ml of water before I have a coffee or anything else.

There's also a Pusheen bottle on my desk, in a spot where I can't avoid it. 10am and I'm already up to 1000ml of water.

I'm aiming for at least 2000ml of water a day + whatever is in my food.

@andycarolan Yeah, I’ve got one of those ~740ml water bottles, and I aim to drink 4-5 of those per day. If I’m really on my game, I try to drink 2 of them before lunch (mainly to avoid feeling like I need to chug a ton of water at the end of the day 😬)

@alexandra Yeah, I watched a video some time ago where someone was talking about making it as easy as possible, so they don't forget.

I think that's my issue... I usually put drinks off to the side of where I sit, and regularly forget them.

Well, unless it's coffee... I never seem to forget those πŸ˜…

@andycarolan I fully understand why a lot of people carry around those exceptionally HUGE water bottles of a billion ounces, so they don't forget.

It really helps. Me, personally, I like to carry around a small 500 ml bottle, more my thing! πŸ˜‰

@alexandra Haha, yes! Not much chance of forgetting to drink with one of those GIANT bottles lol.

I now have an app on my phone, and the widget on the homescreen. It's also set up to remind me to hydrate.

@andycarolan Apps never normally work for me, as I always forget to check them. They'd need a very loud alarm for me to remember. πŸ˜‰
@alexandra I'm normally pretty ok with apps... IF the widget is on my homescreen lol.

@andycarolan Yeah, making it a habit is what saved me. I get up at ten to the hour every hour and either walk, or make a brew, or both.

It helps that my fitbit alerts me too.

@alexandra @andycarolan Just got back from the gym. My wife has given her water bottle that is half the size and it is more gym friendly. Call them 500 and 1000 ml.
