Next up is my werewolf paladin OC, Lunaria.
When her curse awakened, she discovered the Light did not abandon her, and came to terms with her new form and abilities, wielding both werewolf strength and the Light to protect others. She eventually was forced to give up her human form in her final and toughest battle, afterwards becoming guardian of a small (secretly)werewolf town she accidentally helped found
As it turned out, Lunaria's naturally boosted healing(due to being a werewolf) not also slowed her aging, but also magically kept her nearly at her physical prime. Though she could not publicly do so, she still acted as an advisor for the town's council and as a teacher of lycan ways to young werewolves for nearly two hundred years or so.
But even magical healing has its limits...

This is the first image of Lunaria, before I branched her off from my ESO #werewolf templar. The concept for her design was "What if we had a lady werewolf who had enhanced feminine proportions like normal werewolves tend to have exaggerated male proportions? But keep the monsterous aspects."

If I had to pick one piece, out of ALL my pieces of her art thus far, I think this would be my favorite. Big ol' monster beast on a mission in the dead of winter. It's got that quiet menace, yet still hints to her true nature with bits like her eyes glowing with holy Light.

Today's piece is by https://www.furaffinity.net/user/joohnson and was the first one to show her human form. As she is a werewolf it didn't feel right(even with furry bias) to not address that so we based it on her ESO incarnation. It was also meant to show the size difference between forms.
The concept though is that she found a enchanted mirror in magical ruins that shows one's "true self" but someone else is coming.

Lunaria was always a bit of a craftsman on her free time, but when she lost her ability to change back she found herself with much beefier hands. The stronger muscles made things like blacksmithing easier(as did her self-healing) but it took a while to gain back the lost dexterity. Practicing her woodcarving helped there.

Just got this one recently(fittingly on another werewoof Wednesday) from Safiru(https://www.furaffinity.net/user/saf/) to use as an icon for Lunaria. I liked how her lines always seem to glow, but didn't think I had a fitting character until it struck me it'd be a perfect match for Lunaria's aura and fluff.

While we often hear of the hero arriving in the nick of time, sometimes they arrive too late. Bandits may have already trashed the village, but by the Light, Lunaria is going to protect this last elf boy against whatever may come. A monster to fight monsters.

I felt a snarly image of Lunaria was well overdue, as even good girls like her tend to be such when they're also big, buff, shredding machines of the wild. I thought Heathenfang's style would be a good match, and one of her openings happened to come up at the right time!

The story behind it is that after she finally passed, the werewolf community came together to honor her with this in their town hall. While the community is not openly were due to public opinion, no resident stays there long who isn't were or awoo-friendly.

As to what's happening in the art? Well there's a cantrip Paladins can learn in D&D 5E that lets them damage anyone around them with radiant energy - this is just her channeling the Light to do the same thing as a Werewolf. Rather than a Word of Radiance though, this is a Howl of Radiance!

This one is a bit of a symbolic piece. Being both a werewolf and a paladin of the Light, she's a creature of both the sun and the moon, much like an eclipse momentarily makes the sun and moon one.
This also ties back into her story, as this is when she had the same realization, and finally managed to grasp that just because she may seem a monster in others' eyes, it has no bearing on how the Light sees her. That it won't abandon her as long as she stays true to herself and her oaths. That she can truly be the two-in-one, a werewolf of the Light. *cue Powerwolf's Sacred and Wild*

So I have something both new and old, apparently, for this #werewolfwednesday . This was an image I got from https://www.furaffinity.net/user/rocfa back in 2020 of Lunaria. The story here is she arrived too late to prevent the bandits from slaughtering most of the village, but by the Light, she was going to at least make sure this child survives.

Fresh Lunaria art for #werewolfwednesday!
Though she doesn't hail from the Northlands, her lupine aspects do resemble those of the winter wolf. Regardless of whether it was intentional on the part of the Great Stag, her activities can take her up there on occasion and her thick fur is very much a blessing in that climate.
Resting in this position is not unusual for her either in werewolf form, whether taking a quick break from a long hike, or bringing herself down closer to eye level to speak to the shorter folk. Given her size and bulk, her appearance can be quite intimidating otherwise!
