I heard they opened an underground nightclub with a giant pendulum hanging above the dance floor.
@TechBean Oh yah, that was a huge financial misstep though.
The wine cellar is inaccessible, and there was some sort of fuck-up with the HVAC/filtering system, so their first big costume-themed event turned into a COVID super-spreader event. Lost a fortune.
Also, not to be a βI was there when it was still coolβ or anything but tbh, the whole βunderground goth barβ thing has been done to death.
Tl;dr : the place was a pit, and it should be avoided like the plague
The Place was a total pit.
It was a toss-up between Trouble, Sorry, and Aggravation.

@PhoenixSerenity @somcak @TechBean Wow, I'd completely forgotten about that contraption and never even knew it was named Perfection, but upon looking up a photo, I can vividly feel what it was like to try to stick those pieces in the holes.
On a related note, remember this thing?
I don't remember this, but it looks equally anxiety inducing!
@somcak @mikemccaffrey @PhoenixSerenity @TechBean when you were used to it, that was soooo satisfying.
Also, in France it was named "Tricky Bille" (Tricky marble).
@orange_lux @somcak @mikemccaffrey @PhoenixSerenity
Also reminds me of the tilting marble labyrinth. Very stressful.
@mikemccaffrey
I have never seen or played that game before! I had to look it up π
I had to look up Perfection. I think I was suppressing the memory.
@TechBean Perfection, with a 60 second timer.
Superfection, with a 120 second timer. Added time makes sense because there are 32 pieces that have to be assembled instead of just putting them in place.
Finishing the series with Head to head perfection, with a 180 second timer, despite it being just as easy as the first game, and plenty of leeway based on how fast the opponent could play.

That was one of my most favorite games ever.
it took me about 15 minutes to discover if you put your car in exactly the right spot in the center, the collision alarm would never go off

very vague memories.

@coolcalmcollected
Cool story - my parents worked at a Coleco factory when I was young. We ended up with one of these games but were very much not a sportball family. I borrowed a book from the library so I could learn how to play football so I could play this handheld. No one else ever wanted to play it so it became mineπ€ͺ

Yes, I am fully aware I misspelled hippos. But I don't want to screw up the poll results so I'm not going to fix it.
