Corporations that publicly endorsed Trump's megabill. These are not companies that supported the bill by donating to the politicians that voted for it (although most did that too). These are companies that endorsed the bill publicly and were featured on a White House webpage. People should know the companies that made this choice.

@DemocracyMattersALot

Thank you. Interesting to see big multinationals like 3M, and to a lesser degree Uber, in there. I'm always happy to vote with my wallet.

@doboprobodyne @DemocracyMattersALot 3M probably doing everything in its power to not face any consequences for poisoning the planet with PFAs & the like.

Somehow they got all the cell phone providers?

@Finitum

Yeah. Dunno. It's on the White House site. If the WH is lying, let companies make a statement--which they won't.

@doboprobodyne

@Finitum @doboprobodyne @DemocracyMattersALot
Cell phone companies are regulated by FCC. They don't want to be the target of a bogus investigation.

@Finitum

No doubt, 3M would also love to CONTINUE poisoning the planet as well. Oh lookie, wish granted.

@doboprobodyne @DemocracyMattersALot

@doboprobodyne @DemocracyMattersALot tbh I am the least shook that Doordash and Uber endorse driving people into poverty.
@DemocracyMattersALot happy to say that I don't do business with any of them already
@Loucovey @DemocracyMattersALot ๐Ÿ‘3M is a lot of places.
@dxzdb @DemocracyMattersALot good point so I checked. I canโ€™t identify anything in our home that comes from 3m. I donโ€™t count what I buy in services. It wasnโ€™t a conscious decision, but I tend to choose products from smaller companies anyway

@Loucovey @DemocracyMattersALot Tape, sandpaper, Postit notes, filters, scrub padsโ€ฆ will try for alternatives

We're also trying not to shop at: Amazon, Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowes, and Walgreens

@dxzdb @DemocracyMattersALot suggestions: Scrubdaddy and Scrubmommy pads and Gator sandpaper are superior alternatives.
@DemocracyMattersALot goodbye to cell service, then, i guess.

@PaulDavisTheFirst

Thereโ€™s Mint Mobile, or Consumer Cellular.

@DemocracyMattersALot Mint is a MVNO that uses T-Mobile's network (I use Mint). Not sure about CC, but fairly sure they are an MVNO also.
@PaulDavisTheFirst @DemocracyMattersALot The same for Metro PCS, the company I use for cell phone service. They use the T-Mobile network.
@DemocracyMattersALot @PaulDavisTheFirst No, they buy and resell bandwidth from the big three. They don't own any cell towers.
@PaulDavisTheFirst @DemocracyMattersALot It appears that Boost Mobile built their own 5G network. They still piggyback on others for LTE. Of course theyโ€™re probably looking at this list and thinking they should have been there.
@DemocracyMattersALot Replacing an elastomeric respirator will not be easy, though it would be doable. #lang_en #CovidIsntOver
@ellenor @DemocracyMattersALot Take a look at Flomask. I've been using it for a few years and it's very easy to swap out the filters.

Next level protection for the whole family.

@DemocracyMattersALot could you please link the source? I tried to google t-mobile supporting Trump's bill, and couldn't find anything useful

@Olyindivisible @qnix @DemocracyMattersALot I've never even heard of most of the groups.

I see Kristi Noem is on the list. JFC

(I checked, all the companies in your graphic are indeed on there. The list also includes many industry groups and other organizations.)

@DemocracyMattersALot What is a phone service we can use??
@Olyindivisible @DemocracyMattersALot I switched to Verizon a while back when I realized how bad #ATT was. None are perfect but there are a few really bad ones and ATT tops the list.
@Olyindivisible @DemocracyMattersALot and to be fair theyโ€™re all praising the spectrum allocation not the whole bill but itโ€™s still a bad look being anywhere near the bill. The airlines are praising air traffic control investment which isnโ€™t a crazy statement. while everything else quietly burns to the ground.

@DemocracyMattersALot

Alas, that's pretty much every phone company and internet company and domestic airline, and food delivery service, so it doesn't really lend itself to a boycott.

@DemocracyMattersALot All the major telecoms. Just more proof that they're all evil
@DemocracyMattersALot So, unboycottable. There are only three cellular networks in the US and all of them are on this list. Every smaller company that offers cell service buys from one of the big three (Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile).

@DemocracyMattersALot

All three of the major cell phone providers.

@bruce @DemocracyMattersALot Also known as "the *only* mobile phone providers"

Since, at least in my state, the rest are just MVNOs.

@DemocracyMattersALot - lmao, T-mobile, AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, Charter, Cisco - that's the entire oligopoly controlling about 99% of our communications these days. The need for more p2p meshnets outside of the corporatist control of the ISP's has never been greater, sadly there is no momentum towards doing this, especially not as quickly as it will be needed.
@DemocracyMattersALot T-Mobile is launching a venture with Starlink that will help fund Musk.
@gwaldby @DemocracyMattersALot Maybe it is time to move on from Deutsche Telekom and tell them what is on the mind.
@DemocracyMattersALot So it seems we have no options for cell service. Lovely.
@DemocracyMattersALot
Okay, I need suggestions for cell phone service and internet... knowing full well that, in my area, that I will probably have to deal with Verizon, and that effing sickens me!
PS, I'm mad as hell!
@DemocracyMattersALot Hard to boycott United Airlines when one of its major hubs is my nearest airport. Yikes.
@DemocracyMattersALot Has any previous US president ever openly advertised corporations who supported his legislation?
This is a hallmark of facism.
@DemocracyMattersALot anyone surprised that #chevron, the tax dodging dirtbags are in this list.

@DemocracyMattersALot Telecom is always in line at the trough for their share of corporate welfare.

Remember Trump promising to drain the swamp?

@DemocracyMattersALot I'm a contractor for Cisco. I have to seriously consider quitting the contract.

Bad decision, Cisco.
