14) Kiyomizu-dera (清水寺)🪂🙏

'To Jump Off the Stage at Kiyomizu' (清水の舞台から飛び降りる) is similar to the expression 'To Take the Plunge'.
The temple was founded in 778 by Enchin (延鎮), a Nara novice who settled here after searching for a golden river he had seen in a dream.

"Sunday 'Fog of Limited Military Operation' Toons" https://bradblog.com/?p=15681 — THIS WEEK: So Much Winning ... ICEy Reception ... And Still No Kings ... This and more in our latest toon collection!…

So far today I broke a lamp which was part of a matched set while vacuuming, and my son poured a nearly full (but old) bottle of milk of magnesia down the kitchen sink and clogged up the drain.

How's your day going?

8 out of every 50 Americans was at a No Kings protest yesterday. I just had lunch with one of those 42 who wasn't at one. It never came up during our conversation. Yes, I can still hang out with non-activists. The weird thing is, I'm no activist. I just care & want to get out there in the throngs sometimes. Most Black Americans are not activists in the streets right now. Just too dangerous. If we're dispersed throughout a non-BLACK crowd, like I saw yesterday, it's safer. This is just the truth.

Wow-- it wasn't that long ago that this lake and the ones near it were frozen solid and I was snowshoeing through the surrounding forest on a deep layer of snow. Even snowshoed a bit on one of the lakes. Spring has definitely arrived here-- had a nice hike today in this forest, looping around this lake. A great day to be out! #hiking #nature #photography

It occurred to me this morning that it has now been over a decade in which we have all been forced to hear something about Donald Trump every fucking day - often many times a day.

There are people in journalism who have no experience of a world in which we actually covered many different topics in a day.

I feel like I've been mentally force fed McDonalds for ten years non-stop.

I would like it to be over before I die, please.
