Oh yeah, this is EU gov website, not some rando petition website. If you didn't know now you know. If this matters to you.

@hacknorris @Madagascar_Sky Well, using a gov't ID to interact with the EU government seems... appropriate? Also they need to verify if votes are legitimate, so if you provide a fake ID , your vote will not count - simple as that.
Otherwise, I could write a bot that submits 600 000 votes using random names and IDs - would you want EU to accept such votes for proposing law changes?
Then maybe this is a rare case of a good use for your gov't ID...

@hacknorris That's not what is technically sends when signing.

But just now I saw your other posts in this thread regarding your restrictive family (those are missing on the server I am writing from)... I know those kinds of people and wish you good luck with your situation. I won't push any further. Hope you get out of there soon
