@hacknorris @Madagascar_Sky Well, using a gov't ID to interact with the EU government seems... appropriate? Also they need to verify if votes are legitimate, so if you provide a fake ID , your vote will not count - simple as that.
Otherwise, I could write a bot that submits 600 000 votes using random names and IDs - would you want EU to accept such votes for proposing law changes?
Then maybe this is a rare case of a good use for your gov't ID...

was even an article last year where the eu actually sued itself because of like some minor privacy breach that's so that's how seriously they take it. It's like saying "well i don't want the irs getting my social security number."

+ i have literal 1984 at home and if they see a "petition" they think i'm against some corp and i will be sued sooner or later for doing that so if i'd ever open that i'd have argue in family that i'm gonna fight in court some corp and cause they DON'T KNOW english i have no way to prove them false (their polish, show me a post which will change their mind like on onet, wp, interia or so on, then okay….
