i read on r/massachusetts this morning that a boston resident noticed ICE activity in his neighborhood. he called 911 and reported several armed men without identification were in unmarked cars in the area. BPD sent a SWAT team and ICE booked it.

The problem with calling 911 is that local cops do show up, "to keep the peace" by blocking residents from stopping ICE from engaging in kidnapping, false imprisonment, assault, battery, and assorted other crimes, some local, some state, some federal. I understand that sometimes ICE calls the cops in advance. If calling 911 made a difference, I suspect ICE wouldn't call the cops to help.
