@Natasha_Jay it's probably not so funny, but in Santiago de Compostela (#Galiza) we have some signs (they are unofficial) to say drivers that leave the cats and ducks cross the street.

"Déixaos cruzar" it means "leave them cross" in Galician language.

@Natasha_Jay Words like 飛び出し combining 出す (to go out, to exit, to leave a location) and 飛ぶ (to fly) giving you 飛び出し ("flying out", "jumping out of nowhere") are one of my favourites of Japanese, showing how beautifully and elegantly you can create new expressions.
