Inspired by Sarah Dyer, Senegal for Sudan is hosting a 'donate what you can' drawing event on TUESDAY 18TH FEBRUARY 8-9 PM GMT.
The suggested donation amount is 3 euros, but please feel free to donate more or less depending on your situation and income. At the same time, this is an open to all event and we're more than happy for you to join even if you can't pay anything.
The funds raised will be transfered to Sara aka @bsonblast who will distribute them between Sudanese families and mutual aid campaigns and community led initiatives who require urgent support.
We want this event to be an example of how all our collective efforts and active solidarity can uplift the Sudanese community which is facing the worst humanitarian crisis at the moment.
Sudan needs our support and everyone on the ground deserves to live their lives with dignity.
Let's come together to give them hope and show that we are there for them!
Any anti-Semitic, racist or anti-Islamic comments or behaviours will not be tolerated in the session and you will be removed and blocked. This is a peaceful session and we are here to show support for the Sudanese people.
There will be 3 images to draw from, the session will last about an hour.

The session will be recorded and a recording will be sent out afterwards to the email address you registered with. The access to the recording will last for one month.

President Donald Trump on his first day in office signed executive orders prioritizing the expansion of fossil fuel and mining development on public lands, including national monuments with cultural and historical importance to Tribal communities. Now that Doug Burgum has been sworn-in as Secretary of the Interior, he has followed up on Trump executive orders by announcing a 15-day review of all lands previously withdrawn from resource extraction, In 2017, the last time Trump issued the largest rollback of federal land protections in U.S. history, reducing Bears Ears National Monument by 95% and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument by 47%, the process at least included the ability for public comment and Tribal consultation. The new Secretarial Order 3418 issued by Sec. Burgum does not. Obviously, many of the lands under review are historically and spiritually significant to Native Tribes. Bears Ears National Monument, for example, is sacred to the Navajo Nation, Hopi Tribe, Ute Indian Tribe, Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, and Zuni Pueblo. Another is the Kw'tsán National Monument, which holds special significance for the Fort Yuma Quechan Tribe. Our sovereign right to consultation has been reaffirmed over and over again by the Supreme Court and previous administrations. The Department of Interior under the Trump administration thinks they can violate our treaties and the public won’t notice. Food insecurity and malnutrition not only carry the risk of food poisoning but also weaken the immune system, increasing vulnerability to illnesses and harsh living conditions. Patients with genetic or chronic health conditions like diabetes and diseases like cancer also face the consequences of not having access to life-saving treatment for more than a year.
These illnesses are not just temporary; their physical and psychological effects will accompany the patient for a long time, if not for life.
