Palestinian politician Khalida Jarrar was among the prisoners released from zionist detention as part of the Gaza Deal.
Jarrar is a very notable politician as she played a critical role in the induction of Palestine into the International Criminal Court back in 2015.
Jarrar had been arrested many times for no reason. This recent time she was in solitary confinement for months in a room roughly 3ft by 3ft.
While it's easy to understand why politicians like Khalida Jarrar are persecuted by Israel it's important not to forget how arbitrary these detentions of average civilians are.
Another recently released hostage explains how the Israelis held her on charges which were kept a secret from her for her entire time in the Israeli torture camp. How is Israel a democracy if there is no rule of law and no due process in cases like this?
At every turn Israel is failing to stop the Palestinian liberation movement. Arbitrary jailing of random civilians and diligent politicians is all meant to undermine support for the legitimate and legal resistance of the Palestinian military.
The people can not be scared, tricked or tortured out of supporting their freedom fighters.
There's an absolute torrent of videos posted by civilians expressing love and adoration for the Al Qassam Brigades, who the IDF says they eliminated.
In more signs of support for Hamas there have been large funerals for Hamas freedom fighters whose bodies were recently recovered from what were just last week the frontlines of the resistance.
In addition reports communication lines between all of the Al Qassam Brigades factions and units have been restored and are being strengthed.
The Israelis are far from dismantling Gaza's government and military.
In more signs of abject IOF strategy failure in Gaza Hamas fighters report that they have begun collecting significant amounts of unexploded.
This is both an important operation for civilian safety and also a critical strategic operation which resupplies Al Qassam Brigades fighters with the materials needed to defend Gaza once again when the ceasefire fails.
An estimated ~10% of bombs dropped on Gaza do not explode, which is a staggering amount of free ammunition.
In another act of retribution for the start of the Gaza ceasefire IDF forces have restricted movement within the West Bank over the last 24 hours.
Civilians on the ground say this is the largest restriction in movement in recent memory.
These internal military checkpoints restrict freedom of movement between the cities of Ramallah, Hebron, Qalqilya, Salfit & Bethlehem.
Once day broke today Israel unleashed snipers in the West Bank city of Jenin, killing 9 Palestinians simply going about their day and wounding a further 98+ people.
These snipings occurred completely at random.

Among the injured in Jenin today was a young child, a toddler. These genocidal creeps got forced into a ceasefire with Hamas and are taking it out on toddlers in the West Bank.
The Israeli "Operation Iron Wallā seems to be targeting medical staff in Jenin. The Director of Jenin Governmental Hospital told Al Jazeera that several nurses, doctors and other staff members had been injured by the IDF shootings in the West Bank.
In the video below a nurse can be seen running from IDF snipers, a man running in the same direction falls injured.
The death toll has now been increased to 9 dead and 98 injured in Jenin alone.
Whatever is happening in Israel, is not a ceasefire.

Today Hamas and Yemen's Houthis announced the release of the crew of the Galaxy Leader. Hamas previously promised to have the crew released once a ceasefire could be reached in Gaza.
Today they made good on that promise.
The crew was made up of 25 Filipinos, Mexicans, Romanians, Bulgarians and Ukrainians who were all returned home by the Houthis once Hamas requested their release.

Hamas in a statement released on Wednesday condemned the collaboration of the Palestianian Auhtorities with Israeli forces in the deadly attacks on Jenin.
Hamas decried the siege on Al-Razi Hospital and specifically called it a crime against the nation of Palestine when IOF forces carried out a shooting in the hospital while Palestinian Authority cops protected the occupation soldiers.

In an extremely embarrassing development for Israel Hussein Fayyad(aka Abu Hamza), commander of the Al-Qassam Brigade's Beit Hanoun battalion, was seen alive and well in Gaza giving a speech on Wednesday at a funeral.
The Israelis had believed and widely reported they killed Abu Hamza in May of last year so this is a shocking turn of events.
In his remarks Hamza spoke about the meaning of victory and describes the current situation as a defeat of the IOF.
Police in the Gaza strip announced the reactivation of police stations throughout the territory. They have staffed up the police forces and will be actively manning stations to respond to security incidents and other emergencies.
Imo Hamas is doing everything they can to very visible demonstrate that the organization is a functioning popular government. The fact uniformed Hamas police can walk the streets unmolested by the IOF is a defeat for Israels stated goals in Gaza.
As reporters make their way back to Gazas north they find disturbing evidence of Israel's mass arrest of the civilian population.
In places the clothing of hundreds of people lay in neat rows, discarded at gun point during an IOF stripped and searched before a forced march.
The emaciated reporter recounts how these strip searches were conducted.
After only 2 days of ceasefire Palestinian first responders in Gaza have found hundreds of skeletal remains under the rubble in newly accessible areas.
On the 24th reports emerged of multiple instances of deliberate IOF targeting of civilians around Rafah in the Southern Gaza Strip. Palestinians documented 20 victims of these apparent Israeli breaches of the ceasefire deal.

Israel isn't only demolishing buildings and shooting random civilians, all in violation of the ceasefire deal.
Even today they are still restricting Gazans from crossing through "Netzarim" checkpoint. The Israeli's are demanding additional concessions in the next steps of swapping captives.
The Netzarim corridor is the still occupied diving area that splits the Gaza strip in half, allowing the IOF to control north-south movement.

Despite all of these ceasefire violations, Hamas none the less returned their second batch of PoWs on the 25th as promised.
All four of the recently returned Israeli women are IOF soldiers.
As has become a common sight, hundreds of Al Qassam Brigades troops paraded through to streets to extremely positive civilians. The PoWs were returned in good health and hygiene all with ceremonial pomp.
In exchange Israel relaesed dozens of long term hostages.
Among them, Muhammad Al-Tous, who was abducted by Israelis 40 years ago as a child!
They kept him in prison for 39 years, he's the longest held Palestinian prisoner.
He and dozens of others were deported to Egypt instead of returned home in Palestine simply because Israel is hellbent on making Palestinians stateless.
A total of 200 Palestinians were released on the 25th.

The next planned part of this PoW / hostage swap is the re-opening of North-South travel in the Gaza Strip.
So now we wait to see if Israel stops shooting at people who gather to cross.

It's disappointing to hear the US again providing material support for Israel, but this is something the resistance has clearly planned for.
In the case of Yemen, they stopped their blockade of US and British ships in the Red Sea as part of the #GazaDeal. They specifically won't stop blocking ships who deal directly with Israel until the ceasefire is fully completed.
Yemen reserved the right to resume broader blockades due to breaches.

As has become almost routine Hamas' Al Qassam Brigade's soldiers led a IOF soldier Agam Berger to be handed over to the Red Cross. A total of 3 Israelis were released by Hamas.
As is typical Hamas held a formal ceremony releasing their PoW who clearly has been cared for and was returned in good health despite the scene of an utterly bombed out Jabalia camp surrounding the press conference.
In addition to the freed Israelis, Hamas also released 5 Thai migrant workers who were mistakenly captured on Oct 7th.
These five workers were not part of the Gaza Deal, Hamas said they simply waited until it was safe to release them.
One Thai worker can be seen in the clip below taking selfies with Palestinian freedom fighters and even is allowed to pose holding a fighters rifle.

In large part Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza turnedout in crushing numbers to celebrate the release of prisoners.
They largely view the Gaza Deal as a triumph of Hamas, who despite over a year of genocidal attacks from Israel not only kept their own troops and PoWs alive but also never turned their back on civilians imprisoned by Israel.
The fact that Hamas secured the release of so many average Palestinian civilians means these releases touch the lives of many.
In other news the situation in the West Bank remains extremely dangerous. Israel has been shifting its genocide to the West Bank. In the last two days an 11 year old boy was seen on video shot by an IOF sniper while I played on the sidewalk in Tulkarm. He's in critical condition.
Earlier in the week Israeli soldiers were shooting randomly into West Bank homes and murdered a two year old girl.
The news from the West Bank is such a mixed bag this week.
In another story of a released West Bank Palestinian, this father spent 20years in Israeli prison. He was abducted by the IOF while his wife was 5 months pregnant and he'd never gotten to meet his son until this week. His son is now a man and the two cried in each others arms at their first reunion this week.
It's wonderful to see all of the released prisonders but the reality remains that the genocide is on going and it's now most active in the West Bank and Lebanon.

Suddenly Democrats have found the will to block some military aid heading to Israel.

Today there's another prisoner exchange taking place.
In a first #Hamas released 3 men who clearly had lost weight. Hamas said they could not always protect the prisoners from the famine in Gaza but they did their best.
The released Israelis thanked the resistance for feeding and protecting them from the IOF bombing. They encouraged negotiations to continue and for the ceasefire to be respected.
As has been typical of Hamas prisoner exchanges, they held a ceremony commemorating the historic ceasefire and presented the released Israelis for a brief media interview.
In another sign of the realities of the genocide on Gaza a Hamas fighter who'd lost a leg took part in the ceremony.
Nearly 1000 Hamas fighters were in attendance amid a crowd of civilians and media.
Israel released several Palestinians today as well. So far seven Palestinians held hostage by the IOF had to be transferred directly to hospitals.

It's not all bad news. There's a lot of joy in Gaza and occupied Palestine during each of these prisoner releases.
This young father says he was held by the IOF a year and a month ago and had been held in a tourture camp. This is the first time he's meeting his son and he's over joyed to be free.
He says when he was abducted he didn't know if his wife and child would survive or even if they were expecting a boy or a girl.
Palestinians across Gaza continue documenting their return home.
Many are find their homes destroyed. What's crazy about this family's home is they were there when it was bombed and somehow survived.
Israel has been slow to let in the full amount of agreed heavy machinery into the Gaza strip. Making it harder for families to clear unstable parts of structures and to begin rebuilding.
While there is a ceasefire in Gaza, the Israelis have ramped up operations elsewhere.
In the West Bank Israel has been conducting tons of random arrests. They continue to barge into family gathers to stop celebration of prisoner exchanges. And they keep destroying infrastructure like roads.
Some West Bank cities have become too dangerous for aid workers to continue operating.
The increasingly brutal Israeli occupation of the West Bank is drawing active resistance.
On the 5th of February a young Palestinian infiltrated an IOF outpost in Tayasir the West Bank. He was able to gain access to the base and possibly to the watch tower itself and rained a hail of bullets down on the Israeli occupation troops below. Two reservist IOF soldiers died on the spot and a further 6 were hospitalized.
This same outpost in Tayasir West Bank was recently established in an illegal Zionist settler land grab.
After settlers arrived in the area they began sabotaging the local Palestinian's infrastructure.
