L'articolo di #AmiraHass documenta come l’IDF (esercito israeliano) sta costruendo una nuova barriera di separazione lunga 22 km nella parte settentrionale della Valle del Giordano, a circa 12 km dal confine con la Giordania.

Il progetto, denominato “#HutHaShani” (Filo Cremisi), include una strada di pattugliamento asfaltata, barriere naturali, terrapieni e trincee.

La larghezza complessiva della struttura è di circa 50 metri, con 10 m. di strada e 20 m. di “spazio di sicurezza” su ciascun lato.

La barriera taglierà fuori circa 11.000 acri (45.000 dunam) di terre agricole appartenenti a palestinesi di #Tammun, #Tubas, #Tayasir e #Aqaba.

Le strutture all’interno del tracciato — abitazioni, serre, recinti per pecore, cisterne, condotti — saranno demolite per “ragioni operative”. ⬇️2

The increasingly brutal Israeli occupation of the West Bank is drawing active resistance.

On the 5th of February a young Palestinian infiltrated an IOF outpost in Tayasir the West Bank. He was able to gain access to the base and possibly to the watch tower itself and rained a hail of bullets down on the Israeli occupation troops below. Two reservist IOF soldiers died on the spot and a further 6 were hospitalized.
