Yemeni forces at the ceremony indicated that Hamas had asked for the release of the crew as an act of goodwill after the implementation of the ceasefire in Gaza and the Houthis were happy to oblige them.
As far as I've seen I do not believe this was a requirement of the Gaza deal. Hamas just requested this on their own.
