Beware falling prey to, or spreading, misinformation tonight and in the coming days. Check sources for credibility beyond "it sound good" or "seems legit".
And be patient; the likelihood of the presidential election being called by actual election officials tonight is next to nil.
So: do not repeat or share any of Trump's victory calls, nor his whines of electoral fraud.
If you are obsessing over electoral votes tonight, and panicking, take a breath and remember how long it took four years ago. Don't torture yourself.
There's such a thing as a red or blue election night 'mirage'; do not give up until all the votes are counted. Do not concede.
And if you can, call your candidates for downballot races (Senate, governor) and ask them to not concede before the last ballot is counted.
People are still *in line* waiting to vote, in Arizona and Nevada. Then there's the counting of mail-in and other absentee ballots. Do not fall prey to defeatism; do not become despondent.
Yes, the U.S. is a deeply racist country, but when barely a fourth of the citizens are allowed to vote, a close race does not actually reflect the majority--not by a long chalk.
