Hello! We are a small independent bookshop in Stow, in the Scottish Borders. We are no longer using Twitter, for obvious reasons, but could use some new followers on Mastodon and other social media channels - where our presence is smaller than on Twitter. @WedaleBooks Hi! 👋 On the Fediverse, you don’t really need followers, you just need to post with hashtags, then people who subscribe to the hashtags will see it. It’s much easier here to get interactions as a small account than the other social networks.

From what I've heard, while the numbers *look* bigger on that platform, user engagement is actually higher here because you're not getting massively inflated numbers from bots.
