So back in The Borders, and we have small roads. One of the ‘short cuts’ involves a small bridge - with Feking great signs reminding it is a small bridge, very narrow not to mention banned for vehicles over a certain weight. So what does some stupid driver attempt to do with an HGV - which would not even have fitted over the bridge. Cue a certain disruption. Delivering Winners, driven by Pillocks. Passable on a bike.

Evening run
Having been soaked twice already, it was a relief to get back dry. 13k, mainly road with 4k of tracks. No rain and we saw no one else.

Ahh good weather. What I love about the morning walk (with our collie and two borrowed from neighbours who are a little under the weather) is the changing skyscape at approximately the same time every day.

A wooly night and 🤬 the roof is damaged - it will be the ladder when it gets light and our friendly roofers on Monday. As for the woods, lots of debris visible. On the positive, the wind means that our power has become very cheap for at least the next 24 hours, in fact we are being paid to use power until 4 - so that is the drying out for free at least. The house is very warm at least and the batteries are all being topped up. I Hope it is as positive for others.
