Do you know #Wassertreten outside of German-speaking countries? A basin with ice-cold water that you walk through in a weird way like a stork for 1 to 2 laps. Absolutely refreshing in a break during running.

It is part of Kneipp medicine which has, as usual for alternative treatment, no or only partially scientific evidence. But for refreshing heavy legs after a run it definitely helps. Wikipedia is unfortunately not in English available.
