“The other side” isn’t obligated to be “reasonable” — they were the ones who were invaded!

If Russia wants this war to end, they can GTFO out of Ukraine.

They aren’t _entitled_ to any more concessions than that, and Ukraine isn’t in the wrong for not conceding anything beyond that.

Just the implication in this line of thought (and others) amongst those who treat this as if it’s a war between two morally equivalent factions.

People get called “warmongers” or worse for suggesting that Ukraine needn’t feel obligated to simply roll over and accept Russian domination.

Sadly, these people - on the far right and the far left - influence policymakers and vote in elections.
