@sdw The house we live in now, its previous owner had exactly this setup with an iMac on the kitchen counter.

@sdw this is absolutely happening. I’m curious why you think it wouldn’t be? Seems like Apple is just attempting to capitalize on the shrinking sqft of homes, and make it more common place to have an iMac in your kitchen. It’s a lot easier to read and/or watch than a iPad tbh.

@sdw when I was in freelance design and couldn't afford a laptop I would bring my iMac to meetings buckled in to my back seat.

Those of us who
struggle with the whole cooking thing routinely do bizarre things like putting their laptop next to the cutting board next to the stove. Same with the iPad…. They provide answers to the inevitable “how do I” questions…. And sometimes it comes out not bad - never truly good, but not bad. So maybe not the desktop but the laptop for sure.

@sdw I used to do this. It was a much smaller counter though. It was awesome. I had all my recipes right there and could watch movies or do stuff while I made food for 4.

@sdw Except that you would be so wrong. The public is insanely easy to lead. My sister and I owned several clothing stores years ago & about once every two or three months we would put together an outfit that no sane human should wear. We’d put it in the window and wait for the inevitable, praise and purchase. LoL We weren’t monsters we actually would modify it so it looked lovely on whoever picked it but it proved your point time and time again. People want to be led. #Humans

@sdw I find that not hard to believe at all? Computers go wherever they are needed. In my experience it’s mostly the professionals who think it should be on a desk.

@sdw I don't know, I saw someone bring an iMac in to do work from a cafe in Bristol once. Also saw someone carrying an iMac through airport security as hand luggage one time 😅
