I just e-mailed a professor saying that I am respectfully declining to participate in an assignment that requires the use of generative AI, because all the models use the stolen work of myself and every other professional writer I know.

It’s a tiny part of my grade in the class, so not like it’s a huge stand. But it’s a line I’m not willing to cross in this instance.
